Inside our dental laboratory in Antalya

The photos in this gallery give you a look behind the scenes of Elf's Smiles. Our fully equipped, state-of-the-art laboratory is located on-site, so crowns and veneers are designed and produced close to the treatment rooms instead of being sent to an external lab.

What happens in the laboratory

Everything starts with precise data. Your teeth are recorded with 3Shape 3D intraoral scanners before and after preparation and before and after implant placement; where classic impressions are needed, high-precision Zhermack and 3M materials are used. From these records, the laboratory designs your restorations and mills permanent crowns from monolithic Dental Direkt DD cubeY HL zirconia – a solid block of German zirconia that is strong enough for heavy bite forces. E-max crowns and laminate veneers are made from lithium disilicate glass-ceramic for natural translucency.

Are my crowns made abroad or in Antalya? Your crowns and veneers are produced in our on-site laboratory in Antalya, close to the treatment rooms.

Which zirconia do you use? For permanent zirconium crowns we use monolithic Dental Direkt DD cubeY HL, a German zirconia milled from a single block.

Do I need classic impressions? In most cases your teeth are recorded digitally with 3Shape scanners; where classic impressions are needed, Zhermack and 3M materials are used.

Which ceramic is used for veneers? E-max laminate veneers and E-max crowns are made from lithium disilicate glass-ceramic, chosen for its natural translucency.
